Clindamycin is a topical antibiotic for the treatment of acne vulgaris. This drug belongs to the class of antibiotics known as lincosamides. The term Acne vulgaris refers to the more common form of acne, consisting of non-inflammatory and mild inflammatory lesions. The more severe form of acne is characterized by the presence of nodules. Nicotinamide is a form of vitamin B3.

Hydroquinone is the primary topical ingredient for inhibiting melanin production and has potent antioxidant abilities. Tretinoin treats and reduces the appearance of marks by increasing collagen production in the dermis. Corticosteroid mometasone not only reduces inflammation as a side effect of both hydroquinone and tretinoin, but also inhibits melanocyte metabolism.
